Are there any restrictions to cash withdrawals from a payment card using the Bank's ATM?

The cash withdrawal limit for the cards is up to 2,000,000 Tenge/month. The limit may be changed from the Jýsan mobile application or if the payment card holder contacts the Bank's Call Center at 7711 (toll free from mobile phones).

Are there any restrictions to the amount for cashless payments made from the payment card?

The limit established for cashless purchases from the multicurrency card is up to 2,000,000 Tenge/month. The limit established for online shopping using the multicurrency card in the RoK is 500,000 Tenge/month, from foreign countries - 1,000,000 Tenge/month. The limit may be changed from the Jýsan mobile application or if the payment card holder contacts the Bank's Call Center at 7711 (toll free from mobile phones).

Are there any restrictions as to the maximum amount of contactless payment that can be made using a card (without entering a PIN-code)?
According to the international payment systems' regulations and Kazakhstani laws, the maximum amount of a contactless payment that can be made using a card without entering a PIN-code shall be 5,000 Tenge per transaction.

What restrictions are applicable to the money transfers ?
If money is transferred from a payment card of the Bank to any other payment card of the Bank/ other bank, the daily limit amount shall be 800,000 Tenge. The limit may be changed upon request of the payment card holder if he/she contacts the Bank's Call Center at 7711 (toll free from mobile phones).
As to the hard currency money transfers (between own accounts), the following limits shall be applicable to the mobile application:
- on weekend/ holidays: up to 1,000,000 Tenge/day
- on weekdays (from 10.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m.): up to 15,000,000 Tenge/day
Besides, there are general limits applicable to the card-to-card transfer transactions established by the international payment systems, which are not subject to change:
The money transfer limit per transactions: 2,500 US dollars /the equivalent in Tenge or Eur at the Bank's exchange rate established for the payment cards as of the money transfer date;
The limit applicable to the daily number of transfer transactions: 5 transactions;
The daily limit applicable to the amount transferred: 5,000 US dollars /the equivalent in Tenge or Eur at the Bank's exchange rate established for the payment cards as of the money transfer date;
The limit applicable to the monthly number of transfer transactions: 20 transactions;
The monthly limit applicable to the amount transferred: 20,000 US dollars /the equivalent in Tenge or Eur at the Bank's exchange rate established for the payment cards as of the money transfer date;
The limit applicable to the number of transfer transactions per four days: 20 transactions;
The limit applicable to the amount transferred per four days: 9,000 US dollars /the equivalent in Tenge or Eur at the Bank's exchange rate established for the payment cards as of the money transfer date.

Is it necessary to lift the restrictions/limits when going abroad?
Prior to leaving Kazakhstan, it is required to cancel the limit applicable to the relevant country from the Jýsan mobile application or to contact the Bank's Call Center at 7711 (toll free from mobile phones). If you fail to find the required country in the list of countries, then no restrictions have been established for such country.

What restrictions are applicable to payments for the mobile operator's services?

The 30,000 Tenge/month limit is established for payments to be made through the Jýsan mobile application for a mobile operator services. The limit is not subject to change.

If the services are paid for through other platforms, the limit is 20,000 Tenge/day. The limit may be changed if the payment card holder contacts the Bank's Call Center at 7711 (toll free from mobile phones).

What is 3D Secure? What is it required for?
3D Secure is the latest technology aimed to ensure safety of online payments using payment cards. If an e-commerce outlet supports the 3D Secure technology, you can make payments through the outlet after you have activated the SMS notification service. The 3D Secure service is required to identify the card holder and minimize the risk of card fraud.

What is the codeword required for?

The codeword is required to identify the card holder when he/she contacts the Bank's Call Center, in order to prevent fraud.

The memorable word may be set up/ changed in either of the following ways:

  • at a branch of the Bank;
